Caribbean coast. Afro-Caribbean culture, reggae, coconut rice-and-beans, and kilometre-long beaches like Playa Cocles and Punta Uva. Slower pace than the Pacific side, great for snorkeling the reefs at Cahuita and surfing Salsa Brava. Rain patterns reverse from the Pacific — driest September–October.
