Take a beginner-friendly Jaco surf lesson at Playa Hermosa with a local coach — you'll stand up on day one or your lesson is on the house.
Our adventure begins at the Taco Corner Plaza, our meeting point before we dive into the surf. From there, we'll make our way to Playa Hermosa, where the waves await. Once we hit the beach, I'll walk you through everything you need to know about beach safety, surf etiquette, and the basics of surfing to ensure a fantastic time in the water. We'll start our day with a relaxed warm-up right on the sandy beach, where I'll introduce you to the fundamentals of surfing. As you gain confidence, we'll head into the ocean to put your skills to the test. Prepare to experience why Playa Hermosa is celebrated by surfers around the globe. To guarantee your comfort and safety, please remember to bring a towel, a water bottle to stay hydrated, and your favorite bathing suit. If you have a rash guard, it can provide extra protection and comfort during our surf session. So, bring your enthusiasm, and let's embark on this unforgettable surf journey together. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the lesson. Within 24 hours, no refund. Minimum age 8; must be comfortable swimming. Bring swimsuit, towel, reef-safe sunscreen. Board, rash guard, water provided. Lessons run unless lifeguards close the beach; rescheduled, not refunded. Not recommended for guests with recent back, neck, or shoulder injuries.
