Take a Tamarindo surf lesson at Playa Grande or Tamarindo Bay with a Costa Rican coach — small group, soft-top board, and a 1:3 instructor ratio.
Let us show you how to surf our waters in the warm glow of our golden coast. Tamarindo Beach is great for beginners, intermediates and experienced surfers alike with waves, crests and surf to suit all abilities and experience! What’s included: Professional surfing coach (who has taught all kinds of visitors with varying skills and experience for over 20 years, right here in Tamarindo). We provide surfboards to suit your level, protective lycra surfing guards and fresh bottled water. At the end of the day, we’ll offer a local Costa Rican beer to celebrate your surfing achievements alongside a fresh slice of delectable local pineapple, watermelon. Surf’s Up!

Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the lesson. Within 24 hours, no refund. Minimum age 8; must be comfortable swimming. Bring swimsuit, towel, reef-safe sunscreen. Board, rash guard, water provided. Lessons run unless lifeguards close the beach. Not recommended for guests with back, neck, or shoulder injuries.
